Intro. to Gen AI
In this tutorial on Generative AI, we will do a hands-on experimentation with state-of-the-art language models and other foundation models. We will start with simple examples of generative modeling in natural language domain. We will then explore how to compose multimodal foundational models to perform computer vision tasks such as visual question answering (VQA). The program will allow us to understand the decomposition of a complex problem, interpret components, and debug errors. Next, we will explore the use of AI for a significant creative and engineering challenge – designing new aircrafts. We will go through a recently released SRI dataset AircraftVerse developed as part of DARPA Symbiotic Design of Cyberphysical Systems, and use it to explore how to train language models that can help with design. Time permitting, we will also look at applications of generative models to cybersecurity applications. The tutorial will be presented by Anirban Roy, Adam Cobb, Brian Matejek and Susmit Jha from SRI.
